What do you love about the WordPress community?
Everything. The WordPress community is beautiful and everyone is generous to one another. If there are problems, be it technical or any other, there is always someone who can help. Because of the community, many have today built empires and are sharing their success stories. The community does not only help us grow professionally but also personally.
Which WordCamps have you sponsored this year?
DevotePress has been the official media partner for almost every WordCamp that has happened in Nepal till date. Our recent international recognition as an official media partner was at WordCamp Europe 2019. Except for that, this year, we’ve been the official online media partner for WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 and WordCamp Bharatpur 2019.
If you have participated in other WordCamps, could you share any insight or interesting finding of all these local events?
We’ve been a part of every WordCamp happened in Nepal till date. We’ve also been the official online media partner at WordCamp Europe 2019. By participating in these WordCamps, we’ve come to realize the power and influence the WordPress community has. It is all about the community and in almost all WordCamps, we’ve seen how the community comes together and help each other grow.
Even in the context of Nepal, it was such a small community initially and now there are WordCamps are taking place in many cities across the country. It is a beautiful growth and it was all possible only because there were local events and networking.
Why did you decide to sponsor WordCamp Taipei?
Well, our website is based on WordPress, it is our responsibility to give back to WordPress. And one of the ways to do it is by helping the community grow. Since we are an online publication, what we can do is promote news and events by which the community can grow and learn. With the same mindset, we decided to be a part of WordCamp Taipei and help spread the event news. We feel much honored to be the official online media partner of WCTPE2019.
